Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actress. In the early days of her television career in the series, she was a household name for her part in The Matrix series (1999 to the present). Memento (2000) brought her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Character. Moss also played Jeri Hogarth in a variety of television shows created by Marvel Television for Netflix, most notably Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was living in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall who was the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first time on TV. In the course of the show, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn in the role of Samantha Collins. When she returned to the America, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and appeared in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap television. The series was canceled on July 15, 1995. She was the lead actress in a short-lived Canadian-made series called Matrix. [3] For most of the 1990s, she appeared in several television series including Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she received a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in the Drama. A lot of her film roles during the decade were B films, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
