Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most famous movies. New York was her home and she was raised in an artistic environment. Her first position was an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was named the top female debut at the box office in the world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she got her name and footprints hand-engraved. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
